I choose my topic because I wanted to find a topic that was unique and mostly unheard of. When I read Night, I saw that they mentioned Dr. Mengele. This made me wonder who he was, because he had to have been important for Elie Wiesel to include him. I researched some information in Mengele and saw that I was interested in learning more about his work. When researching, I was surprised that there were about 1,500 pairs of twins at Auschwitz; I would not have thought there would have been that amount of twins arriving at one camp. I believe it is important to still learn about these people and events so that we never again have another Holocaust. By learning about what happened, we can prevent another from occurring. Millions of lives could be saved by preventing another attack like the Holocaust. I enjoyed watching as my research flowed together to create an informational website. The most challenging part for me was finding pictures that were not gory to put in my website. In conclusion, my research on Dr. Josef Mengele has changed my perspective of the Holocaust.
